AROUND THE WORLD I'VE SEARCHED FOR YOU! The world traveler is depicted beautifully on these greyish-blue handwoven silk suspenders backed with Melton wool. These limited edition suspenders, being just one of 500 offered, are based on an original hand drawing by Monika Slivkova and feature the continents, oceans & hot air balloons. Designed with a Y-back, these otherwise non-stretch suspenders have lower elastic for a modest amount of stretch, and high-quality polished brass size adjusters allow for the perfect fit. Available in a 46-inch length, these 1 5/8-wide heirloom quality braces are trimmed with deep brown leather and cream runner ends.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
