TARTAN PLAID BOW TIE & SUSPENDER SETS WITH DRESSY DROP CLIPS -The ever-celebrated tartan is as stylish now as it was a century ago. We offer our bow tie & suspender sets in two of the most popular designs, Black Watch & Royal Stewart. These all-cotton braces are designed at a dressy width of 1 3/8-inch wide & have high quality dressy nickel drop clip attachments. The X-back has a leather crosspatch, and these suspenders have lower elastic for a bit of stretch. Polished nickel size adjusters allow for tweaking to a perfect fit. The Black Watch suspenders have black leather trim and the Royal Stewart has dark brown leather trim.

The high-quality cotton bow ties are pre-tied at the standard size of 2.5 inches high by 4.75 inches wide. The fully adjustable strap is 22 inches long and attaches with a metal clip concealed under the bow tie. Perfect for the person who wants to look their best, this tartan bow tie & suspender set will be a classic for years to come. Also available in a Button-On version.

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
