Side clip suspenders are a popular choice for people who do a lot of sitting or driving. The convenient and comfortable side clip design means you won't have pressure from clips pressing into your back and also prevents clips from catching when entering or exiting a vehicle. Simply slip your arms though the suspenders as if putting on a jacket and clip them to the side of your waistband. Each pair of suspenders has just 2 clips (as opposed to the 4 clips on traditional clip suspenders) and are fully adjustable for a comfortable fit. Our side clip suspenders are made with 2-inch wide elastic straps, X-back construction and a leather cross patch. The heavy alligator clips keep the suspenders firmly in place. Also available in black and navy blue or in belt-clip style which attach to a belt.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

How to measure for suspender size

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
