THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS - The City That Never Sleeps comes alive on these limited edition Albert Thurston braces. Designed of shimmery grey silk, these 46-inch long suspenders are lined with classic New York landmarks such as the Empire State Building, and then detailed with a fine silver thread that gives the appearance of twinkling window lights and stars. The 1 5/8-inch wide non-stretch silk straps are backed with black Melton wool & have a Y-back with lower elastic for a bit of stretch. Detailed with black leather trim & polished nickel finish brass fittings, these limited edition braces come with buttons & are individually numbered with a leather limited edition tag. Made in England.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
