SALMON FLIES - From Albert Thurston, these handwoven silk jacquard braces feature Durham Ranger, Jock Scott, Thunder & Lightning & Yellow Torrish flies set on a shimmery gold background. Backed with Melton wool, these braces have a Y-back trimmed with a black leather crosspatch & lower elastic for a bit of stretch. The polished brass size adjusters allow for a perfect fit, and the black runner ends come with buttons for added convenience. Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide, these braces are a true collector's item. Available in a 46-inch length to fit most of average build between 5’2” to 6’1” tall.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
