TAKE A LOAD OFF WITH THESE WELCH SUSPENDERS - If you carry a heavy load you'll love Welch's Industrial Suspenders with Tuff Stuff™ Webbing. Constructed with 2-inch wide, thick, low-stretch polyester elastic webbing, these American-made suspenders are crafted of the highest quality. The front straps each have a 2-inch black polypropylene belt loop attachment which secures around the belt (up to 2" wide belt) using a hook & loop closure (similar to Velcro™). The rear strap on these Y-back suspenders has the same type of hook & loop closures, each 1” wide that can easily span a middle belt loop as needed. The Y-back is joined by a genuine cowhide leather cross patch embossed with the Welch insignia. Black plastic slide adjusters are durable & allow for perfect sizing of length for all-day comfort. If you carry heavy tools on your belt, these suspenders will ease your load & keep your pants intact. Available in Black, these are offered in both 46- & 54-inch lengths.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
