Black suspenders in side clip style -- meaning instead of 4 clips (2 on the front, two on the back) there are 2 (one on each side) -- make getting in and out of your vehicle, or sitting for a long time, more comfortable. Putting them on is like putting on a jacket: simply slip your arms through the suspenders and clip them to your side. 2 inches wide with leather cross patch and heavy duty alligator clips. The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

How to measure for suspender size

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
