HEAVY DUTY WORK SUSPENDERS FOR THE BIG & TALL GUY! Big & Tall guys need just as much support in keeping their pants in place, especially when wearing heavy canvas work pants or a tool belt. These suspenders feature 2-inch wide non-stretch straps, and have an X-back with black leather crosspatch (tan suspenders have a brown leather crosspatch) with rear low-stretch elastic for a minimal amount of stretch. Our nickel pin clips set these aside from all others--two metal pins that pierce the fabric of your pants, reinforced by tough plastic teeth to keep the fabric taut. Available here for Big & Tall guys, we also offer these in regular sizes.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

How to measure for suspender size

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
